Dear friend in Christ let us see what the Bible tells us about beauty.

KJV - King James Version
BBE - Bible in Basic English (1949/1964)
GW - GOD'S WORD Translation
AMP - Amplified Bible

Psalms 96:6:

KJV Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
BBE Honour and glory are before him: strong and fair is his holy place.
GW Splendor and majesty are in his presence. Strength and beauty are in his holy place.
AMP Honor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

Proverbs 31:30:

KJV Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
BBE Fair looks are a deceit, and a beautiful form is of no value; but a woman who has the fear of the Lord is to be praised.
GW "Charm is deceptive, and beauty evaporates, [but] a woman who has the fear of the LORD should be praised."
AMP Charm {and} grace are deceptive, and beauty is vain [because it is not lasting], but a woman who reverently {and} worshipfully fears the Lord, she shall be praised!

I Timothy 2:9:

KJV In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
BBE And that women may be dressed in simple clothing, with a quiet and serious air; not with twisted hair and gold or jewels or robes of great price;
GW I want women to show their beauty by dressing in appropriate clothes that are modest and respectable. Their beauty will be shown by what they do, not by their hair styles or the gold jewelry, pearls, or expensive clothes they wear.
AMP Also [I desire] that women should adorn themselves modestly {and} appropriately and sensibly in seemly apparel, not with [elaborate] hair arrangement or gold or pearls or expensive clothing,

I Peter 3:3:

KJV Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
BBE Do not let your ornaments be those of the body such as dressing of the hair, or putting on of jewels of gold or fair clothing;
GW Wives must not let their beauty be something external. Beauty doesn't come from hairstyles, gold jewelry, or clothes.
AMP Let not yours be the [merely] external adorning with [elaborate] interweaving {and} knotting of the hair, the wearing of jewelry, or changes of clothes;

I Peter 3:4:

KJV But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
BBE But let them be those of the unseen man of the heart, the ever-shining ornament of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great price in the eyes of God.
GW Rather, beauty is something internal that can't be destroyed. Beauty expresses itself in a gentle and quiet attitude which God considers precious.
AMP But let it be the inward adorning {and} beauty of the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible {and} unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, which [is not anxious or wrought up, but] is very precious in the sight of God.

I Peter 3:5:

KJV For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
BBE And these were the ornaments of the holy women of the past, whose hope was in God, being ruled by their husbands:
GW After all, this is how holy women who had confidence in God expressed their beauty in the past. They placed themselves under their husbands' authority
AMP For it was thus that the pious women of old who hoped in God were [accustomed] to beautify themselves and were submissive to their husbands [adapting themselves to them as themselves secondary and dependent upon them].

Looking at these verses we see that beauty that comes from the hart will last forever.
