Dear fellow believer let us see what the Bible tells us about coping with death.

KJV - King James Version
BBE - Bible in Basic English (1949/1964)
GW - GOD'S WORD Translation
AMP - Amplified Bible

Psalms 23:4:

KJV Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
BBE Yes, though I go through the valley of deep shade, I will have no fear of evil; for you are with me, your rod and your support are my comfort.
GW Even though I walk through the dark valley of death, because you are with me, I fear no harm. Your rod and your staff give me courage.
AMP Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear {or} dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.

Psalms 48:14:

KJV For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
BBE Because this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide.
GW "This God is our God forever and ever. He will lead us beyond death."
AMP For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide [even] until death.

Psalms 68:20:

KJV He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death.
BBE Our God is for us a God of salvation; his are the ways out of death.
GW Our God is the God of victories. The Almighty LORD is our escape from death.
AMP God is to us a God of deliverances {and} salvation; and to God the Lord belongs escape from death [setting us free].

Luke 1:79:

KJV To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
BBE To give light to those in dark places, and in the shade of death, so that our feet may be guided into the way of peace.
GW He will give light to those who live in the dark and in death's shadow. He will guide us into the way of peace.
AMP To shine upon {and} give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct {and} guide our feet in a straight line into the way of peace.

John 5:24:

KJV "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
BBE Truly I say to you, The man whose ears are open to my word and who has faith in him who sent me, has eternal life; he will not be judged, but has come from death into life.
GW I can guarantee this truth: Those who listen to what I say and believe in the one who sent me will have eternal life. They won't be judged because they have already passed from death to life.
AMP I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the person whose ears are open to My words [who listens to My message] and believes {and} trusts in {and} clings to {and} relies on Him Who sent Me has (possesses now) eternal life. And he does not come into judgment [does not incur sentence of judgment, will not come under condemnation], but he has already passed over out of death into life.

Acts 2:24:

KJV Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
BBE But God gave him back to life, having made him free from the pains of death because it was not possible for him to be overcome by it.
GW But God raised him from death to life and destroyed the pains of death, because death had no power to hold him.
AMP [But] God raised Him up, liberating Him from the pangs of death, seeing that it was not possible for Him to continue to be controlled {or} retained by it.

Romans 4:25:

KJV Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
BBE Who was put to death for our evil-doing, and came to life again so that we might have righteousness.
GW Jesus, our Lord, was handed over to death because of our failures and was brought back to life so that we could receive God's approval.
AMP Who was betrayed {and} put to death because of our misdeeds and was raised to secure our justification (our acquittal), [making our account balance and absolving us from all guilt before God].

Romans 8:38-39:

KJV For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
BBE For I am certain that not death, or life, or angels, or rulers, or things present, or things to come, or powers, Or things on high, or things under the earth, or anything which is made, will be able to come between us and the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
GW I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love which Christ Jesus our Lord shows us. We can't be separated by death or life, by angels or rulers, by anything in the present or anything in the future, by forces or powers in the world above or in the world below, or by anything else in creation.
AMP For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending {and} threatening nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hebrews 12:2:

KJV Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
BBE Having our eyes fixed on Jesus, the guide and end of our faith, who went through the pains of the cross, not caring for the shame, because of the joy which was before him, and who has now taken his place at the right hand of God's seat of power.
GW We must focus on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith. He saw the joy ahead of him, so he endured death on the cross and ignored the disgrace it brought him. Then he received the highest position in heaven, the one next to the throne of God.
AMP Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader {and} the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising {and} ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Looking at these verses we see that Jesus loves us. He died to free us from death. For us there is no death in eternal life.
