Dear fellow believer let us look what the Bible tells us about floods.

KJV - King James Version
BBE - Bible in Basic English (1949/1964)
GW - GOD'S WORD Translation
AMP - Amplified Bible

Genesis 9:11:

KJV And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
BBE And I will make my agreement with you; never again will all flesh be cut off by the waters; never again will the waters come over all the earth for its destruction.
GW I am making my promise to you. Never again will all life be killed by floodwaters. Never again will there be a flood that destroys the earth."
AMP I will establish My covenant {or} pledge with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of a flood; neither shall there ever again be a flood to destroy the earth {and} make it corrupt.

Genesis 9:15:

KJV And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
BBE And I will keep in mind the agreement between me and you and every living thing; and never again will there be a great flow of waters causing destruction to all flesh.
GW Then I will remember my promise to you and every living animal. Never again will water become a flood to destroy all life.
AMP I will [earnestly] remember My covenant {or} solemn pledge which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy {and} make all flesh corrupt.

II Chronicles 20:9:

KJV If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.
BBE If evil comes on us, the sword, or punishment, or disease, or need of food, we will come to this house and to you, (for your name is in this house,) crying to you in our trouble, and you will give us salvation in answer to our cry.
GW 'If evil comes in the form of war, flood, plague, or famine, we will stand in front of this temple and in front of you because your name is in this temple. We will cry out to you in our troubles, and you will hear us and save us.'
AMP If evil comes upon us, the sword of judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house and before You--for Your Name [and the symbol of Your presence] is in this house--and cry to You in our affliction, and You will hear and save.

Psalms 29:10:

KJV The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.
BBE The Lord had his seat as king when the waters came on the earth; the Lord is seated as king for ever.
GW The LORD sat enthroned over the flood. The LORD sits enthroned as king forever.
AMP The Lord sat as King over the deluge; the Lord [still] sits as King [and] forever!

Psalms 32:6:

KJV For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
BBE For this cause let every saint make his prayer to you at a time when you are near: then the overflowing of the great waters will not overtake him.
GW For this reason let all godly people pray to you when you may be found. Then raging floodwater will not reach them.
AMP For this [forgiveness] let everyone who is godly pray--pray to You in a time when You may be found; surely when the great waters [of trial] overflow, they shall not reach [the spirit in] him.

II Peter 2:5:

KJV And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
BBE And did not have mercy on the world which then was, but only kept safe Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when he let loose the waters over the world of the evil-doers;
GW God didn't spare the ancient world either. He brought the flood on the world of ungodly people, but he protected Noah and seven other people. Noah was his messenger who told people about the kind of life that has God's approval.
AMP And He spared not the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven other persons, when He brought a flood upon the world of ungodly [people].

Looking at these verses we see that God will protect His children from disasters. We see that God says that never again will there be a flood that destroys the earth. Remember prayers moves the hand of God, not disasters or need.
